So I have to start back in Feb with my daughter's small car accident to tell you how this whole thing happened leading up to Valentines Day when I found my wife's dad.
Kennedy was driving home from UNC after they had an emergency water break at her dorm and the students were all forced to come home. She was moving along with the heavy traffic on Highway 54 near Graham, NC and approached a stop light, and glanced for a moment to the side, and when she turned back, it was too late and hit the car in front of her.
After the shock of that, I had to deal with insurance and paperwork, which led my wife to the safe box in our home where our paperwork valuables are kept. As she's looking through, and in her sweet ADD fashion, she was distracted and started looking for her original birth certificate from Hawaii, only to realize it was missing. The ONLY paper proof of who she was, where she was born, etc. and this threw her into a tailspin. She was already on edge lately, wondering about her identity once again, and it was getting her down. Losing that certificate didn't help. I cleaned the box up and she proceeded to destroy it 3 more times looking for it! lol. For the next week she couldn't stop thinking about that birth certificate and how important it was to know who she was. Which brings us to "Part 2: Where is Soi Song Prang Alley, Bangkok anyway?", and how I try to help her cope with her anxiety...and how we are getting closer and closer to discovering her dad!
